What’s Going On?
So you’re new to my blog and need to catch up? Or you feel like you can’t figure out why my flavor of the moment doesn’t seem to jive with my “headed to the holy city” motif? Understandable. I’m a mess of contradictions.
If you want to see where I started, where I am now, and how I got there, you’re in the right place. If you’re more specifically interested in why I decided to leave Mormonism, I have another page where I have collected those posts together.
At one point I thought I was no longer sailing, or that I was no longer sailing to Byzantium. I don’t think either one would really be correct. More accurate, I think, is that I’ve come to the realization that I don’t even necessarily know what Byzantium is. It may be that it doesn’t look at all like the Byzantium I set out for at first, but maybe that image I had in my head was wrong from the beginning. I think I’m still sailing, and I certainly still have my eye peeled in case I wind up close to Byzantium on my way. It’d be nice to get there, in the end.
Anyway, I could easily begin taking that metaphor too far. Here’s my point: below you will find a list of the posts I’ve made that are, in my opinion, the most important ones along my journey since I started this blog. That way if you’re new, you don’t have to wade through all the junk to get caught up.
